The 23rd edition of Spannabis is arguably the most historic since the event was founded in 2002. For the first time in over two decades, Europe’s largest cannabis trade fair leaves its long-standing home at Fira de Cornellà in Barcelona — due for demolition — and relocates to the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC), one of the most modern and spacious exhibition venues on the continent. More than a change of address, it marks the start of a new era for Spain’s cannabis industry.
For Spannabis 2026, the BEC dedicates 10,000 m² of column-free indoor exhibition space with an average ceiling height of 18 metres, plus 2,000 m² of outdoor areas with a live music stage, food trucks serving Basque specialities (pintxos, txuletón) and rest areas. The exhibition floor covers the full spectrum of the cannabis sector: seed banks, fertiliser and substrate manufacturers, LED lighting and indoor growing systems, vaporisers and paraphernalia, medicinal cannabis and CBD brands, and — with a growing presence — technology companies working with pharmaceutical-grade traceability standards. Born in Seville in 2018, Kannasur has established itself as the most important cannabis fair in southern Spain, drawing over 10,000 visitors and 150 exhibitors in its strongest editions. Its III edition returned to the Pabellón de la Navegación in Seville (7–9 June 2024), with over 100 exhibitors across 6,000 m² of air-conditioned space, live concerts and a conference programme focused on responsible use and scientific advances. In 2025, the event moved to Alicante (10–12 October), with organisers announcing their intention to return to Seville in the future.
